Celtic have reportedly entered fresh talks to sign in-demand Hadjuk Split defender Mario Vuskovic this summer.
And the defender could become manager Ange Postecoglou 's first signing since taking the reins at Parkhead.
The 19-year-old has been scouted by the Parkhead side extensively but it appeared Serie A side Torino were on the verge of securing a £5m deal for his services.
But now the Scottish Sun report Celtic and Split are engaged in talks in a bid to striker a deal for the Croatia youth international.
It would be a signal of intent for the former Premiership champions as they look to mount a serious to challenge to Rangers after their rivals romped to the earliest title win in history last season.
Postecoglou arrived at Lennoxtown on Wednesday and admits he's been highly impressed by his new surroundings.

He said: “It’s great to be here.
"It’s been a tough three weeks to get here but I’m super happy to be here now.
"I got to meet everyone and put everything in place that we need to. It’s been fantastic. I already had some familiarity with it but it’s a great set-up. The people here are fantastic and I’m looking forward to working with everyone. Everyone keeps warning me about the weather but it all looks pretty beautiful at the moment.”
