Mario Vuskovic Celtic transfer 'on the verge' of completion as Ange Postecoglou makes his move

Mario Vuskovic is reportedly on the verge of completing a move to Celtic.

The Croatian Under 21 international could be at Celtic Park this week to become Ange Postecoglou ’s first signing as boss.

Sportske claimed that the Hoops will shell out €5million initially for the defender with add ons included depending on how he performs in green and white and how Celtic do in the Scottish Premiership.

There’s less than a month until Postecoglou takes on Danish outfit FC Midtjylland in a crunch Champions League qualifier and the Aussie needs to bring in reinforcements sooner rather than later.

In order to get the 19-year-old, the report from Croatia says that Celtic insisted on a quick resolution in order to beef up their defence.

Want-away Kris Ajer is likely to depart this summer although Celtic are holding out for big money, which apparently hasn't gone down well with the Norway international.

Shane Duffy’s loan was ended prematurely while Christopher Jullien hasn’t played for months after suffering a serious knee injury.

Meanwhile, Olivier Ntcham’s proposed move to AEK looks to be off.

The Greek media reports that the Athens club are set to look elsewhere after attempting to land the Frenchman on a free transfer.

However, Celtic now want a fee for the former Man City youngster, who endured a torrid time on loan at Marseilles during the second half of last season.
