Craig Moore has claimed Celtic won't move for Mario Vuskovic as Ange Postecoglou targets a more experienced defender.
The former Rangers defender, who works as an agent and worked under the Parkhead boss with the Australian national team, admitted he has been close to the transfer chase.
Moore says the £5m-rated Hadjuk Split star has already knocked back a move to Swiss side Basel and he was hotly tipped to make the switch to Parkhead.
Celtic are closing in on a deal for Rubin Kazan stopper Carl Starfelt as they look to strike a deal for the £4m Sweden international.
The former Ibrox star believes the Parkhead side are now looking at alternative targets with Kris Ajer likely heading for the exit door.
Speaking on Go Radio, he said: “I’ve been quite close to this one. And it’s a little bit cold, I mean I’ve seen it in the media a lot.

“Certainly hasn’t been coming out from my side or anything like that but look, Vuskovic is a is a fantastic player. Thirty nine games in the Croatian top flight.
“A 19 year old, he’s had interest from Basel which he knocked back. He’s had interest from Feyenoord.
“There’s a lot of clubs sniffing him out. But at this moment in time, I don’t think it’s something that Celtic are seriously looking at. I think they’re looking for someone a little bit more experienced.”
