Mario Balotelli denies 'b*******' rumours he wore Marcus Rashford T-shirt to troll PSG over Champions League exit

Mario Balotelli has rubbished suggestions he was planning to reveal a T-shirt featuring Marcus Rashford if he scored against Paris Saint-Germain.

The Marseille striker was unable to prevent his side falling to a 3-1 defeat in Sunday’s Le Classique but before the match, rumours of a very special goal celebration began to circulate on Twitter.

Rashford struck the winning penalty that saw Manchester United dump PSG out of the Champions League at the last 16 stage in what was another high profile capitulation from the Ligue 1 giants on the biggest stage.

And to further rile the French champions, former Manchester City and Liverpool striker Balotelli was said to be wearing a shirt bearing Rashford’s face underneath his Marseille jersey, ready to unveil at Parc des Princes if he scored against them.

But it would appear this is the latest addition to a long list of false rumours concerning the eccentric Italian.

Balotelli posted a screen shot of the rumour on Instagram with the caption ‘B******* written across it. “This is a lie,” he added. “Stop creating false stories over me.”

PSG’s win on Sunday ensured they remain 20 points clear of nearest rivals Lille.
