Mariners' ALM washout moved to December

Central Coast forwards Garang Kuol and Jason Cummings will have one less A-League Men game to push their World Cup case with their rescheduled game against Newcastle pushed to December.

Last Saturday's original fixture was postponed due to flooding on the pitch at Central Coast Stadium.

The game has been rescheduled to December 21, after the World Cup in Qatar, following consultation with both clubs.

Fringe Socceroos appeared to have six ALM games to find form before the World Cup squad is named by coach Graham Arnold but Kuol and Cummings, and Newcastle prospect Reno Piscopo, will now have one less appearance to their names.

Kuol is already missing Sunday's away game against Wellington Phoenix through Young Socceroos commitments.

It means the 18-year-old potentially only has three, and at most four, Mariners games to push his case for Socceroos selection.

Kuol and Cummings were originally named on the bench for the washed out game.
