Mariners ace Felix Hernandez lists Washington home for $3.8 million

June 27--Baseball fans, take note: A Bellevue, Wash., home owned by Cy Young Award-winning pitcher Felix Hernandez has come on the market for $3.8 million.

The two-story home, built in 2009, has 5,040 square feet of space, including formal living and dining rooms, a center-island kitchen, a den/office, five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. Large picture windows take in views of Lake Washington.

Among amenities is a lower entertainment level featuring a wet bar, a theater room and a wine cellar.

Outside, grounds of about a quarter of an acre include a paver patio with an outdoor fireplace.

Barbara Brown of Keller Williams Realty is the listing agent, according to the Multiple Listing Service.

The right-handed pitcher paid $3.2 million for the house in 2010, a few months removed from inking a $78-million extension with the Seattle Mariners. He is currently in the second year of a seven-year, $175-million contract that he signed in 2013, which, at the time, was the most lucrative contract for a pitcher in baseball history.

Hernandez, five times an All-Star, has been one of baseball's most dominant pitchers over the last decade, compiling a 135-96 record with 2,043 strikeouts and an ERA of 3.08. He is 10-4 in 15 games with the M's this season.

He owns other property in King County, Wash.
