Marine Le Pen failed to win a single vote in 56 villages across France.
Two clusters of villages, one in the south-west of France and the other between Grenoble and Marseille, did not support the Front National (FN) leader at all.
The villages, which are all home to fewer than 100 people, didn’t necessarily favour another specific candidate.
Those in the south voted for Jean-Luc Mélenchon or Emmanuel Macron and villages in the north and east opted for François Fillon, according to The Local.
There were also some Ms Le Pen voter-free villages in the far north of France, which is often thought to be a FN stronghold.
Ms Le Pen made it through to the final round of the French presidential election, where she will face centrist Emmanuel Macron, the former Socialist minister who set up his own party to run for president.
The final round of voting will take place on 7 May, and Mr Macron is currently thought to be the favourite.
Mr Macron won 24.01 per cent of the votes in the first round, final results from the interior ministry showed on Monday.
Ms Le Pen won 21.30 per cent, conservative candidate Francois Fillon 20.01 per cent and far-left candidate Jean-Luc Melenchon 19.58 per cent.
Socialist Benoit Hamon won 6.36 per cent and nationalist Nicolas Dupont-Aignan 4.70 per cent.
