Chelsea have finally announced Frank Lampard as their new head coach after signing on a three-year deal with the Blues.
It has been maybe the worst kept secret in recent football history, with Lampard having been the front runner to replace Maurizio Sarri for the majority of the summer.
But now he has finally put pen to paper on a deal with the Blues after impressing with Derby County in his first season of being a manager.
Blues supporters have obviously been delighted with the news, however there have been some fans that are worried that it will be too soon for him to be in charge of the club.
This will be the third head coach Chelsea have had in three seasons, with Antonio Conte only lasting two campaigns and Maurizio Sarri leaving after just one.
The question over whether Lampard will be given time to implement his ideas is, of course, the big one to be answered over the course of the campaign.
However, club director Marina Granovskaia, who handles the negotiations, has suggested that he will get the support he needs in the future.
"It gives us great pleasure to welcome Frank back to Chelsea as head coach," she said. "Frank possesses fantastic knowledge and understanding of the club and last season, he demonstrated he is one of the most talented young coaches in the game.
"After 13 years with us as a player, where he became a club legend and our record goalscorer, we believe this is the perfect time for him to return and are delighted he has done so.
"We will do everything we can to ensure he has all the support required to be a huge success."
