Spartak Moscow's General Director Shamil Gazizov has revealed the influential role Marina Granovskaia played in Victor Moses' move to Russia.
Moses is now on his sixth loan move since arriving at Chelsea in 2012, and his second since his particularly influential two-year spell at Stamford Bridge which saw him win the Premier League and Europa League at the club between 2017 and 2019.
Though, this could well be his last with Spartak holding an option to buy and with Chelsea likely looking to offload ahead of the last year of his contract, which expires in 2022.
Moses joined Moscow in mid-October, and it's a move that might not have come about if it wasn't for the Blues' influential director Granovskaia.
Spartak's general director Shamil Gazizov revealed to Nobel Arustamyan's Youtube channel: "Football people helped us make this transfer.
"But my communication with Granovskaia went directly. We discussed all the details with her.
"She helped us convince Moses. Many thanks to her, she played a big role here. She helped Spartak. And I thank her again for that.
"For us, everything worked out within the limits of the amounts that we pledged."
Gazizov also clarified the nature of Moses' move, adding: "No, the loan cost €300,000 (£268,000) and option to buy will be €5million (£4.47million).
"If he plays a certain number of matches, and if we achieve a certain result, we have the opportunity to buy him.
"It is also possible not to buy Moses. But when Victor and I talked, his main desire was to find a club."
Moses initially joined Chelsea in 2012 from Wigan Athletic, making 87 league appearances since and winning two Europa League titles, as well as a Premier League title and an FA Cup.
Since his move to the Russian capital, the 29-year-old has made four league appearances, scoring once and assisting once with Spartak third in the Russian Premier League, three points off top spot after 14 games.
