Marina Granovskaia has received the perfect response to her Chelsea transfer assignment

Sergio Reguilon has responded to speculation linking him with a move to Chelsea, amid reports that the Blues are in advanced talks to sign the Real Madrid defender.

Along with a potential new goalkeeper, football.london understands Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard is also eyeing a new left-back in the summer transfer window.

Leicester City's Ben Chilwell is understood to be one of several targets, along with Ajax’s Nicolas Tagliafico and Atalanta’s Robin Gosens.

But the England international's price tag could prove prohibitive, with the Foxes reportedly demanding £80million for Chilwell.

Frank Lampard delighted with Chelsea season

This has seemingly led to Chelsea looking elsewhere, and according to ESPN, Chelsea have entered negotiations for Real Madrid left-back Sergio Reguilon.

The reports claim the Blues are closing in on the player with talks now at an ‘advanced stage’, and the defender is keen on a move to Stamford Bridge.

Reguilon has spent the season on loan at Sevilla, with his impressive displays helping the club to finish fourth in La Liga.

The Spanish side are also still in the Europa League and face Roma in the last-16 second leg on Thursday, and Reguilon has insisted that he will only discuss his future after the season finishes, but encouragingly for Chelsea, says he is flattered by the interest.

"If my year at Sevilla had not been good, then this would not be happening," he told Marca, when asked about the interest. "These teams would not ring.

"If I am fine, the team is fine and the club is fine, everyone is happy. But I do not think about these possibilities now – I’m sorry if that sounds like a cliche.

"I’ve been saying since quarantine that until the season isn’t over I won’t be talking about my future. Until then it would be unfair on myself, my teammates and club.

"I have no complaints about anything, about the city, the club, my colleagues. I feel very loved. Who knows what will happen in the future."

When asked whether he could stay another season on loan at Sevilla, he added: "We should talk about that sitting quietly with Real Madrid, my representative, with everyone. And see the possibilities for next year, let’s see what happens. I don’t know."
