Chelsea have been busy in the summer transfer window, despite not yet adding to Thomas Tuchel's first-team squad.
All of the business the Blues have done so far has centered around moving players on.
The headline departure is that of centre-back Fikayo Tomori, who will officially complete his permanent switch to AC Milan in a £25million deal following a successful loan spell on July 1 2021.
Elsewhere, Victor Moses has joined Spartak Moscow on a permanent deal, youngster Pierre Ekwah-Elimby has completed a move to West Ham United and forgotten midfielder Danilo Pantic has returned to former side Partizan Belgrade.
Now there's news of another transfer deal and once again it's an exit as director Marina Granovskaia - responsible for the deals - continues to trim the size of Tuchel's squad.
According to The Athletic, Billy Gilmour is likely to complete a season-long loan move to Premier League new boys Norwich City next week in order to get regular first-team football.
Although, the report does state that clubs across the Premier League have expressed an interest in loaning the midfielder who impressed for Scotland in their goalless draw with England last Friday
However, whilst there is said to be some nervousness at Norwich while the deal remains incomplete - they are confident a deal will get done in the end.
Having missed Scotland's final Euro 2020 clash as he was self-isolating after testing positive for COVID-19, Gilmour will be free to undergo a medical with Norwich next week ahead of completing his temporary move to Carrow Road.
Once Gilmour leaves, it's likely that Chelsea will swoop for a replacement as head coach Thomas Tuchel has already revealed he needs "four strong midfielders".
"He has three big problems – N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho are three big problems. They are never injured and they perform on a level in central midfield that is not easy to compete with," Tuchel said last season. "This is the only thing.
"This is the situation. Nothing has changed. I am super happy he is here. We need strong four midfielders."
