Marina Granovskaia and Chelsea face three big calls as Bayern Munich make Coman transfer decision

Here is your Chelsea morning digest for Saturday, March 13.

Blues face triple contract decision

Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel is understood to be keen on signing a centre-back this summer, despite the strong performances that the likes of Cesar Azpilicueta, Andreas Christensen, Kurt Zouma and Antonio Rudiger have produced in recent weeks.

The likes of David Alaba of Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig star Ibrahima Konate have all been linked with moves to Stamford Bridge as the Blues look to add defensive reinforcements to their squad, as Thiago Silva enters the final few months of his current contract.

But instead of focusing all of their efforts on landing a new centre-back this summer, the Blues should prioritise tying Azpilicueta, Christensen and Rudiger down to new deals.

The trio are all out-of-contract at Stamford Bridge at the end of next season and the Blues need to get their futures resolved soon, especially given how well they have done under Tuchel.

Should they continue to impress and they extend their stays in west London, Tuchel may be able to save money on landing a new centre-back this summer and focus on bolstering his attacking options.

Mount more valuable than Manchester City star

Data released by the CIES Football Observatory has revealed that Chelsea midfield star Mason Mount currently has a higher market value than Kevin De Bruyne.

The data, which takes into account a range of factors, including current form, values Mount, who will be eyeing a return to the starting line-up against Leeds United today, at just over £93million.

De Bruyne, who has been wowing audiences for Manchester City once again this season, has a value of £61.7million, meaning the England international is considered to be more than £30million more valuable than his fellow attacking-midfielder.

Interestingly, Mount is also valued higher than Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane, who is priced at £91.9million.

Bayern make Coman decision

Bayern Munich will not entertain offers for winger Kingsley Coman this summer.

That is according to a report by Sport Bild football journalist Christian Falk, as cited by the Bavarian Football Works. In the last few days, it has been heavily reported that Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are all interested in signing the France international this summer in the hope of bolstering their attacking ranks.

Falk has insisted that Chelsea's interest in the winger is genuine but Bayern do not wish to sell him this summer, despite facing struggles in their attempts to renew his contract.

Coman's contract with the Bundesliga giants does not expire until the summer of 2023.
