Marian Shved's Celtic 'wrong choice' as deal maker lifts lid on Hoops outcast's struggles

Celtic flop Marian Shved didn't do his research into the Premiership champions - claims the man who brokered his Parkhead deal.

The Ukrainian international has made only three appearances for Neil Lennon 's side since his £2million move last January.

A fleeting cameo against Clyde in the Scottish Cup hasn't led to further opportunities and he has made no Premiership impact.

And Ukrainian scout and football agent, Yaroslav Zvarych, believes Shved made a mistake moving to Glasgow.

He said: "I'm not the player's agent, but I recommended to Celtic they sign Marian. Everything they learned about him came from me.

"But perhaps he made the wrong choice by choosing the Scottish league.

"I don't think he properly researched the strength of the league and the competition for places in the squad.

"And I believe the language difficulties he's experienced won't have helped him adapt.

"It's probably a number of small complications for him that have contributed to the bigger picture there in Scotland."
