Marian Shved's Celtic future in fresh doubt as Ferencvaros boss issues cryptic signing clue

Celtic misfit Marian Shved is set to be in demand after Ferencvaros manager Sergie Rebrov hinted at a move for the out of favour winger.

Shved has been linked with a return to his homeland after failing to impress under Neil Lennon.

He made just three appearances for Celtic since his £2 million move in January 2019 - Brendan Rodgers' final move before leaving for Leicester City.

A fleeting cameo appearance against Clyde in the Scottish Cup this year was his first sighting in the Hoops since October and he's set to be allowed to leave on loan.

And Hungarian champions Ferencvaros are interested in snapping up Shved, with former Spurs striker Rebrov considering making the 22-year-old his third Ukrainian in his squad, with Igor Kharatin and Alexander Zubkov already at the Budapest club.

Rebrov said: "I don't want to confirm or deny my interest in Marian Shved.

"Of course I would be happy to work with another Ukrainian in the squad, but there are a number of players in all positions we are looking at.

"We are always looking to improve the squad."
