Marian Hossa 'good to go' after injury scare

Blackhawks fans can breathe easy _ winger Marian Hossa is OK.

After Hossa was injured in an exhibition for Team Europe on Thursday, his coach Ralph Krueger described the injury as "minor" and said Hossa was "good to go."

"He's fine," Krueger told reporters in Montreal. "He had a lower-body setback that was minor and he'll be okay to go tomorrow in practice.

"He looks good to go, all green lights. It was a safety precaution to pull him out in the third. It turned out to be a light injury that's fine today. No setbacks there."

Hossa did not play in the third period against Team North America and was taken to a hospital in Quebec City for X-rays, but the fact that it's only a minor injury comes as a relief to Hossa and the Hawks.

Hossa is one of 10 Hawks participating in this year's World Cup of Hockey, which is set to start later this month in Toronto.
