Tributes have been pouring in on social media after the death of Marian Finucane.
RTE confirmed this evening that the iconic broadcaster passed away earlier today.
Paying tribute, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said: "I am stunned and deeply saddened to hear of the death of Marian Finucane.
"She was a true broadcasting legend who reshaped current affairs radio.
"Ireland will miss her voice. Weekend mornings will never be quite the same again."

Former presidential candidate Gavin Duffy said: "I have just checked, rechecked and rechecked again. In shock! A ground breaking broadcaster has left us."
Members of the public have been paying tribute to Marian, who would have turned 70 in May.
One tribute read: "Very sad to hear of the death of Marian Finucane.
"She was seriously talented and her passing is a great loss to Irish broadcasting.
"I think many will be unaware of the extent of her contribution to society through her work over the decades."
Another fan said: "I shed a tear when I heard of the passing of Marian Finucane, God rest her soul. RIP."
