Mariah Carey's eye-watering hotel cost after Brighton pride performance revealed

The staggering amount Mariah Carey paid to stay in London following her Brighton pride performance has been revealed.

The pop superstar, 56, headlined the festival over the weekend - and arrived in the country by private jet.

And The Sun have revealed that no expense has been spared while the self-proclaimed diva is in the UK - as she has booked a fancy suite at London’s Corinthia hotel in Embankment.

And it’s certainly fit for a diva as the £20,000 room features a large terrace, private spa and living room lit with a real fire.

“She blocked out two weeks in the best suite. It's only the best for Mariah,” a source told the paper.

“Her royal gig is a huge deal, so naturally she is living like a queen.”

The Corinthia is a hotel known for A-listers - as Beyonce was recently staying there during her Cowboy Carter tour (and Sydney Sweeney reportedly had to change her accommodation for Bey).

It’s not the first time Mariah has booked into the Corinthia, as she stayed there last month as she performed at Capital’s Summertime Ball.

And Beyonce apparently went to stay at Claridge’s so Mariah could take over her suite at the Corinthia.

“Superstars as big as Beyonce and Mariah want to stay in only the best hotels,” a source told The Sun.

“Beyonce had been staying in Corinthia’s penthouses.

“But when Mariah flew in, Beyonce packed up so Mariah could take over her suites.”

Last month, Mariah claimed ageing “just doesn’t happen” to her as she refuses to acknowledge the passing of time.

Asked about how she deals with ageing, she told Harper’s Bazaar: “I don’t allow it – it just doesn’t happen. I don’t know time. I don’t know numbers. I do not acknowledge time – I have a new song that starts with that line.”

She also spoke about looking back at her life while writing her 2020 memoir The Meaning of Mariah Carey, with journalist Michaela Angela Davis.

The singer said: “Working on it together was challenging, but it was also therapeutic. We stayed up late figuring out how we were going to put the story forth.

“I knew it was going to bring up bad memories I didn’t want to relive. It was a tough situation to go to sleep listening to it, I’d wake up and be kind of freaked out. Because this is me and I went through that.”
