Mariah Carey denies she had a 'heated fight' with Jay-Z over quitting Roc Nation

Mariah Carey has denied having a "blazing row" with Jay-Z before quitting Roc Nation and looking for another management company.

The 51-year-old singer had signed a deal with Roc Nation three years ago, but she has now left and been removed from their roster after reports she got into a 'very heated fight' with the rapper and other executives of the company.

The Sun had reported on Friday that Mariah had a verbal altercation with Jay-Z but she has now set the record straight about the incident.

Taking to Twitter Mariah hit back in a tweet on Monday in which she claimed the reports were "lies".

She wrote in defence of what happened: "The only 'explosive' situation I'd ever 'get into' with Hov is a creative tangent, such as our #1 song 'Heartbreaker'!!"

The Diva added: "To the people who make up these lies I say 'Poof! —Vamoose, sonofa*****'!"

This follows a source telling The Sun: "Mariah and Jay had an explosive meeting which did not go well at all. She has made it clear she wants nothing more to do with him and has called it quits with Roc Nation.

“She will formally depart in the next few weeks."

The source added about Mariah quitting the label: "It is a shame because they had done some great work in the last few years. But this meeting couldn’t have gone much worse."

It was also claimed that Mariah had already found a new manager but she did not specifically say that she has left Roc Nation when she denied that any altercation had happened with Jay-Z.

The source continued: "Mariah has been talking to other managers and thinks she has found someone who she feels has full belief in her as she takes her next steps."

The NY Post, has reported that the songstress has already been removed from Roc Nation's list of artists that they represent.
