This Morning presenter and interviewer Alison Hammond has been left red-faced after Mariah Carey brutally shut her down during an awkward interview.
Alison sat down with the famous singer to chat all things Christmas during Thursday's edition of the ITV daytime show.
Things quickly took a turn for the worst though when Alison decided to sing her own festive tune in front of Mariah, Manchester Evening News reports.
But clearly not sure about the slightly off-tune and flat vocals, Mariah asked her: "Are you mocking me?"
The 44-year-old host then giggled and screeched that she wasn't to the American singer.
"Are you mocking me, Alison, after I made this card for you and everything?," Mariah asked again.
It comes after the pair were sat making Christmas cards and Alison attempted to get herself on Mariah's guest list for the festive season.
But the songstress was clearly just joking around and the interview recovered as she offered some expert singing advice: "It's fabulous, but you need to add an 'to you' to it."
Despite the whole encounter being a little awkward, ITV viewers loved the exchange and couldn't help but chat about it on Twitter.
"Alison Hammond singing ‘Merry Christmas’ infront of Mariah Carey and Mariah saying ‘Are you mocking me?’ is iconic #thismorning," commented one.
Another added: "Alison Hammond interviewing Mariah is the funniest thing I've ever seen #ThisMorning."
"Alison Hammond making Christmas cards with Mariah Carey is something I never knew I needed in my life," said a third before someone added: " "Then Alison mocking how Mariah sings. What a treat. #ThisMorning."
