Marella Cruises unveils new ship Marella Voyager with all-inclusive cruises from 2023

Marella Cruises has revealed it will be getting a brand new cruise ship for families, complete with pools, all-inclusive restaurants and even a secret Speakeasy bar.

TUI's cruise line will be welcoming Marella Voyager in 2023, the fifth addition to its fleet of all-inclusive cruise ships.

There will be heaps of perks for passengers too including 10 bars, 10 restaurants, spacious family-friendly pools, kids' clubs and a theatre with Broadway-style shows. The ship will also offer up new features which are not available elsewhere including a brand new Mexican restaurant, and a swish secret Speakeasy bar that's sure to be a hit with holidaymakers.

She will sail on her maiden voyage in June 2023 with ports of call in the likes of Barcelona and the south of France, but if you're keen to be on board then you'll want to head to the Marella Cruises website on November 4, 2021, when bookings are due to open.

Marella Voyager is actually a ship that's already in the TUI family - only it's currently known as Mein Schiff Herz, with TUI Cruises in Germany. The ship measures 264m and boasts a 77,302 gross tonnage, and will be getting a dry dock makeover before it officially becomes Marella Voyager and joins the fleet.

Chris Hackney, Managing Director of Cruise for TUI UK & I said: "After a challenging year for the industry we couldn’t be more thrilled to finally announce we’ll be welcoming Marella Voyager, the fifth ship in our fleet, in Spring 2023 with her first sailing taking place in June. This ship builds on our already popular fleet and offers loyal customers and new customers more choice. We know what our customers like and so we want to ensure we keep some Marella Cruises favourites but also adding a different flavour to Marella Voyager too."

The new cruise ship wasn't the only exciting announcement from Marella. The TUI line has revealed that in summer 2023 it will be offering three brand new USA itineraries onboard Marella Discovery, which includes ports of call and overnight stays to the likes of New York, Miami and Tampa. Bookings for these will also open on November 4, 2021.

At the time of writing, the Foreign Office allows for international cruise ship travel, having lifted its ban since August.

Marella was one of the first British cruise lines to restart fly-cruises, which includes a September sailing around the Greek Islands.

The cruise line currently operates a flexible bookings policy which allows you to make free amends on cruises. If your sailing is before October 31, 2021, you'll need to do this at least 14 days before. If your sailing is before April 30, 2022, you'll need to make your amend up to 28 days before.
