Raheem Sterling is streets ahead of Manchester United rival Marcus Rashford as goalscorer.
That's the view of former Manchester City winger Shaun Wright-Phillips who reckons Old Trafford star Rashford needs to sharpen his act next season.
England and Manchester City star Sterling scored 31 goals in 56 games for club and country last season on the way to becoming the Football Writers Footballer of the Year.
By comparison Rashford scored just 16 in 53 games – leaving Wright-Phillips to claim the United star should look how his City rival has taken his game to another level.
“The gap between Sterling and Rashford is wider than the gap between City and United, for me that’s a yes.
“I think of Raheem Sterling as an amazing player whereas I think of Rashford as being very good.
“With what Raheem brings to the team right now I don’t think Rashford can” said Wright-Phillip, speaking exclusively to 888sport .
“For a player of Rashford’s quality I feel like he should score more goals and I think Pep has taught Raheem how to do that.
“He always seems to be in the right place for the cut-backs and crosses: he has learnt to read the game so much better.
“That’s allowed him to attack better and to be freer. He has done an outstanding job over the past couple of years and for me he is just getting better and better.”
