Marcus Rashford told solution to his 'confidence issue' at Manchester United

Marcus Rashford has been told the solution to his 'confidence issue' by an ex-Manchester United player.

MEN Sport understands that Rashford was left considering his future at Old Trafford following a run of bad form in a red shirt. Rumours have been circulating that Barcelona, Arsenal and Liverpool are all interested in his services.

Rashford has scored just five goals in 26 appearances for United this season and pundits have noted that his confidence appears to be low. According to Lee Sharpe, there is a solution to these issues.

He told The Athletic : "I like Rashford, but he's struggled with injuries this season and he has that Euros hangover. Pace, power, great feet.

"There's a huge confidence issue there, and usually, the way out of that is game time, but it can also help to sit on the sidelines and maybe see things from a different perspective. Plus when you don't play, the fans think you're better again — absence makes the heart go fonder.

"It's almost impossible to come in and out of a team and be your best, though." Rashford's current contract runs out at the end of next season.
