Marcus Rashford to have talks with Manchester United over possible shoulder surgery

Marcus Rashford is set for talks with Manchester United this week about possible surgery on his shoulder injury.

Rashford barely featured at Euro 2020 with England and is understood to have taken the decision to go under the knife to correct the issue in his shoulder, which would likely put him out of action until October.

Solskjaer is keen for Rashford to be available and has stated that a decision is yet to be made, although it appears that Rashford's preference is to undergo surgery.

The issue will come to a head this week, as talks are expected to take place between player and manager to decide the best course of action, according to The Telegraph.

Rashford could miss up to ten Premier League games and the first three games of the Uefa Champions League group stages, as well as the England internationals in September and October.

Rashford has been told the shoulder problem will not get any worse without surgery, but having had to undergo pain-killing injections to get through games he believes it is best to get it sorted now.

He could also have a foot injury looked at, after straining ligaments in the bottom of his foot in March and playing through the pain barrier.
