Marcus Rashford 'stalling over new Man Utd contract' as Barcelona hover

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford is reportedly stalling over a new contract as Barcelona are linked with a summer swoop.

The England star is wanted by the Catalan club as they eye a long-term replacement for Luis Suarez and the gulf between the two clubs was magnified as they thrashed United 3-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Despite interest from elsewhere, United have been keen to tie him down to a new long-term deal with his current contract set to expire at the end of next season but containing an extra 12-month option in favour of the club.

Yet according to Daily Mail , Rashford is in no rush to commit his future to the Red Devils given the magnitude of the task Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has to rebuild their squad.

United are said to be relaxed about the situation and feel initial negotiations have been positive as they try to tie Rashford down.

His camp are said to be demanding wages in excess of £200,000 per week as well as assurances he will be utilised in a central role.
