Marcus Rashford believes Manchester United target Matthijs de Ligt is the best centre back in the world, alongside Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk.
United continues to be linked with a move to Old Trafford despite club sources insisting they do not expect the Ajax centre back to make a move to United this summer.
The 19-year-old has impressed at centre back for the Dutch giants and consequently become one of the hottest transfer targets this summer with La Liga giants Barcelona the favourites to land him.
And Rashford has piled on the praise on the centre-back ahead of England facing the Netherlands in the Nations League.
"De Ligt and Virgil are probably the best centre backs in the world right now," he said. "We know how they defend. They like to be up [close] and behind you.
"We want to get them facing their own goal. We have the players to do it. Pretty much every forward can do that, that's what our game is about.
"If we can do that we know we can cause them problems."
The Dutchman has been speaking a lot about his future while on international duty adding further fuel to the fire about his next club.
"I am very excited about what the nearest future may bring me, but I am also calm, I see it as a challenge, that is the most important thing,"De Ligt told RTL. "There are several options, what I’m doing is seeing which is the best option, it seems logical that one option is better than the other."
