Marcus Rashford reveals what Manchester United discussed in dressing room after Leicester defeat

Marcus Rashford insists Manchester United have to go 'back to basics' to arrest their slump in form.

United have lost two of their last three Premier League games their unbeaten away league run came to a crashing end in the 4-2 defeat at Leicester on Saturday.

Rashford made his first appearance in three months off the bench at Leicester, where he scored and he is expected to make his first United start since the Europa League final against Atalanta in the Champions League home tie on Tuesday night.

"At a club like Manchester United, as soon as you lose a game this is what happens," Rashford said of the scrutiny. "For us as players, we have to go back to basics, we have to look at ourselves, see what we can do better.

"We've had a conversation as a team, as we would do whether we win a game or lose a game. We know the next game is another opportunity for us to improve and that's always the aim.

"It's not only after defeats [that we have these conversations]. After some games when we win and we know we've not played well, it's as important if not more important to have the conversation then because you want to nip it in the bud as soon as possible.

"Especially in the Premier League, you have to defend well. I don't just talk about the goalkeeper and back four, as a team, you have to defend as one, and against Leicester it was too open, as simple as that.

"They're a good footballing team, as there are a lot of them out there, and it was too easy to play through us, it's something we've analysed and we're going to do our best not to let it happen again.

"And the game tomorrow is the first opportunity for us to show that, so we're fully focused on that."
