Marcus Rashford reserves Manchester United tickets for NHS 'superstars' in latest act of generosity

Marcus Rashford has once again shown his generosity after inviting two NHS workers to a Manchester United match after declaring them ‘the real superstars’ in the battle against coronavirus.

Rashford was tagged in a tweet from Josh Howes who initially enquired over how the United star was recovering from a back injury.

Alongside a picture of two NHS staff in personal protective equipment, he also wrote: “Wishing you well man. Literally can’t wait to see you rip it up again! Fingers crossed me and the wife can get some tickets for Old Trafford and we can stop having to wear this nonsense for 13 hours a day!”

In response, the England international said he has ‘two tickets in reserve for the pair’, promising to be in touch once the football season resumes before adding: "Thank you for everything you’re doing.”

Since the football season was halted by the coronavirus pandemic, Rashford has also raised £150,000 in his bid to ensure children who rely on free school meals are fed during the coronavirus lockdown.
