Marcus Rashford matched a milestone reached by Manchester United legends Bobby Charlton, David Beckham and Wayne Rooney with his goal in England's win over Belgium.
The 22-year-old forward stepped up and converted a penalty to draw the Three Lions level after Romelu Lukaku opened the scoring with a spot kick of his own.
England went on to beat Belgium - FIFA's No.1 ranked team - 2-1 at Wembley as Mason Mount's strike deflected over a helpless Simon Mignolet to send the hosts top of their Nations League group.
Rashford's performance drew special praise, with an energetic display on the left flank capped by a goal the day after he was made an MBE.
His goal means he has scored in four consecutive games for England, becoming the fourth United player to do so after 1966 hero Charlton, former captain Beckham and the Three Lions' all-time top scorer Rooney, who achieved the feat twice.
Rashford's last three England appearances saw him score in commanding Euro 2020 qualifying victories over Bulgaria last October and Montenegro and Kosovo last November.
The United academy graduate has scored 11 goals in 39 games for his country to add to his 69 goals for his boyhood club.
Gareth Southgate hailed the performance of Rashford and his fellow youngsters after the match.
"It was a top-level game," the England boss said. "We had a lot of young players there for whom that was a really great experience.
"You have to suffer to win these big games and the players did that."
Southgate also heaped praise on his side's goalscorers, telling ITV Sport : “Rashford and Mount were phenomenal with their performances."
On England's overall performance, he added: "You can’t just play with the ball. We can be free-scoring but against the very best the detail of how you defend as a team has got to be absolutely bang-on."
