Marcus Rashford makes fantastic gesture to Manchester United fan and calls on Gary Neville to help

Marcus Rashford wants help from Gary Neville after providing match tickets to a Manchester United fan on Twitter.

Rashford answered a tweet from user Matt Waymont, who was trying to secure tickets for an upcoming United match for his American friend who has overcome stage three cancer.

His tweet read: "My legendary USA friend, John, has beaten stage 3 cancer! He’s a lifelong @ManUtd fan but has never been to England or Old Trafford.

"We raised enough ££ to get him to UK but need help getting him to a match! Man U vs Brighton is our aim!"

The tweet included the handles of Rashford, Jesse Lingard and Paul Pogba in an attempt to get members of the United squad to see the appeal, along with a picture of John holding a United shirt.

Rashford replied to the tweet last month saying he would sort the tickets, and has now come good on his promise by tweeting that John has the tickets he wanted.

But Rashford wasn't stopping there, as he called out to former United defender Neville for help in securing John a hotel room for the night.

Rashford tweeted: "Fancy helping with the hotel @GNev2... heard you might know a place?" along with a winking emoji, in reference to Neville's Hotel Football which overlooks Old Trafford.

And Neville was quick to respond, replying to Rashford's tweet with a thumbs-up emoji and saying the hotel was 'sorted'.

United take on Brighton next month in the Premier League on November 11.
