Marcus Rashford issues fitness update as he returns to full Manchester United training

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has updated fans upon returning to training as he continues to head towards a return from injury.

The United academy graduate, who scored 21 goals in all competitions for the Reds last season, has been sidelined since the final of Euro 2020 in July because of a shoulder injury.

Rashford underwent surgery later that month and has slowly been building his way back to full fitness, ahead of making his first appearance of the season.

The versatile attacker, who had been struggling with his shoulder problem for much of last season, returned to training at the club's Carrington base towards the end of August and has been working as hard as he can to get back to full fitness as soon as possible.

Now, ahead of Sunday's clash with West Ham at the London Stadium, the No.10 has uploaded three images to his Twitter account to suggest that he has further intensified his levels of training, sharing images of him running alongside the likes of Victor Lindelof and Paul Pogba.

It, therefore, suggests that he has now made the next step and now is training with the rest of the squad, certainly as far as general running and fitness work is concerned.

Alongside the images he posted on Twitter, Rashford wrote: "Let's get it," accompanied with the muscle emoji, suggesting that he is continuing to work hard in his bid to be back available for selection as soon as possible.

Sunday's clash with West Ham will definitely come too soon for the England international, with a return likely to be next month.

Speaking recently, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer did confirm that he expected the winger, alongside Alex Telles, to return to full training in the not too distant future.

They're not too far away from joining the team training," Solskjaer admitted.
