Marcus Rashford 'interested' in Barcelona move and more Manchester United transfer rumours

Reports are suggesting Marcus Rashford would be interested in a move to Barcelona, with the Spanish giants said to be closely monitoring the Manchester United forward’s situation.

Rashford has had a frustrating season so far at United, with the England international missing the first two months after undergoing shoulder surgery, while his form has suffered since returning.

The 24-year-old’s deal at Old Trafford runs until 2023, with the option of a further year, although reports in Spain are suggesting he could be tempted away from the club.

Spanish news agency EFE say Barcelona are keeping a close eye on Rashford’s situation, and the Catalan club are confident they can lure him to the Camp Nou.

The report adds that PSG are also keen on signing Rashford, with club officials having reportedly reached out to the player’s representatives.

A move for Rashford might prove to be out of Barcelona’s reach in January, given the club’s financial problems, although the forward is said to be a long-term target, with Barca hoping to raise funds in the New Year by offloading a number of players.

Elsewhere, United are said to be in advanced talks to sign midfielder Boubacar Kamara as Ralf Rangnick eyes up his first signing as interim manager.

The 22-year-old’s performances for Marseille have seen him linked with a host of clubs ahead of the January window, with Barcelona also said to be interested.

Reports in the Catalonian press (via the Express ) have suggested though that United are leading the way, with the club in ‘advanced negotiations’ with Kamara.

The reports have suggested that a deal could be wrapped up during the opening stages of the window, with Kamara reportedly set to become the first signing of the Rangnick reign at Old Trafford.
