Marcus Rashford has hit back at a claim he was 'fuming' with Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for not starting him in the weekend win against Tottenham.
The England international continued his fine scoring form on Saturday night, as he came off the bench to score United's third goal in their 3-0 victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Rashford, 24, had started for United in their previous league match against Liverpool but was dropped to the bench against Spurs as Solskjaer switched formation in an effort to stabilise his shaky side.
United produced an emphatic response against lacklustre opposition with Rashford sealing the victory in style with a composed finish, wrapping up the three points late on in the match.
The academy graduate marked his goal with a subdued Kylian Mbappe-esque celebration in front of the corner flag.
And, after the game, former United midfielder Owen Hargreaves suggested the England forward was expressing his frustration at being dropped by Solskjaer.
"I think you could see that in his celebration, he was fuming," the former United and Bayern Munich midfielder told Premier League Production.
However, Rashford insists it was not the case and has hit back at a story posted by the Daily Mail which suggests he was 'fuming after being benched' for the win.
Quoting a tweet from the outlet the United forward commented: "Fuming at the manager??! We won the game. That celebration was pure relief! It’s been a hard week…"
