Marcus Rashford has made 'Tottenham decision' amid £70m Antonio Conte interest in Man Utd star

Marcus Rashford is set for talks with new Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag ahead of the summer transfer window, according to reports. It comes amid reported interest from Tottenham, with the market officially opening on Friday.

Spurs are set for a huge few months when it comes to transforming the squad, with Antonio Conte looking to continue the momentum from finishing fourth and returning to the Champions League. Two deals have already been confirmed, with Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster joining the club as free agents.

There’s plenty more business to be done though, as hinted at by the head coach towards the end of the season: “We need to improve a lot. Next season the league will be very difficult for all the teams.

“With five subs you can change a game. If the bench is strong like a top team, like City, Chelsea, United and Liverpool, you need to improve a lot your squad in quality aspect and numerical aspect. You have to face in England three national competitions and one in the Champions League.”

In a bid to add depth and quality to his squad, Conte has been linked with a number of options. However, the latest was Marcus Rashford, with his agent confirming the Lilywhites opened talks over a move, but a price tag of £70million set makes the move tough.

The 24-year-old only has one-year remaining on his contract at Old Trafford, but struggled in the past season with getting regular first-team minutes. This has opened up speculation surrounding his future at the club.

However, Fabrizio Romano claims in his Caught Offside article that the striker is set for talks with new boss ten Hag about his role in the team and his contract situation. He adds that the forward has not decided to leave the club this summer.

This is only added by journalist James Robson claiming that the new manager has “high hopes” for Rashford in the future. It remains to be seen exactly what his future holds, but it appears that it may not be at Tottenham.
