Marcus Rashford gives Mason Greenwood advice after Manchester United vs FK Partizan

Marcus Rashford has advised Mason Greenwood not to put pressure on himself to score goals and to keep working hard for the team after Manchester United beat FK Partizan.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side secured progression to the knockout rounds of the Europa League with a 3-0 win at Old Trafford on Thursday night and it was Greenwood who got United off the mark in the first half.

The teenager was cool and composed as he blasted a perfect finish past Vladimir Stojkovic in the Partizan net to put United 1-0 up in the 21st minute and register his third goal of the season but Rashford has told the 18-year-old not to concern himself with scoring goals.

"He's done very well just needs to keep working hard, the goals will always come, he's a player that has a lot of quality so he doesn't need to put pressure on himself for goals as long as he's working hard for the team," Rashford told BT Sport after the game.

Rashford got on the scoresheet himself with a great left-footed finish in the second half to wrap up the three points for United but he could have had a hat-trick in the first half and the England international was asked if he would dwell on his missed chances.

"There were a couple of times where I was half a yard too forward so it was a game of fine margins but we are happy with the three goals," Rashford said. "For me, it's about recognising it and trying to correct it in the next game but I won't let it stay on my mind for too long."
