Marcus Rashford 'fed up' after X-rated row with Man Utd skipper Harry Maguire

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been warned that Marcus Rashford is beginning to look fed up after the Manchester United star endured a frustrating night at Selhurst Park.

Rashford was part of the United attack that failed to score for the third straight game, as they were held by Crystal Palace.

It leaves any glimmering hopes of winning a first Premier League title since 2013 in tatters, with local rivals Manchester City 14 points in front.

Solskjaer was able to recall Edinson Cavani after the Uruguayan recovered from injury, but it did little to spark his side to life, who registered just one shot on target against the Eagles.

It was Rashford who had arguably United’s best chance of the evening, when he fired a first-half shot narrowly wide on the post.

That was as good as it got for Rashford and his team and with frustration building, tempers came to the surface when he and Harry Maguire were involved in a flashpoint.

The United skipper expressed his frustration as Rashford was flagged offside whilst attempting to get on the end of a header into the Palace half.

"What do you want me to do?" Rashford asked before an irate Maguire replied: “F*****g get back onside!”

Rashford then fired back, appearing to tell Maguire to “shut the f*** up, f****** k*******” as tensions ran high.

And speaking after the game, BBC Radio 5 Live pundit Pat Nevin suggested the striker’s body language didn’t look right and questioned whether he was becoming annoyed at playing on the left hand side of United’s front three.

“Marcus Rashford's body language just doesn't look right,” he explained after the full-time whistle. “It's noticeable with somebody like him as he always has good body language, he's generally always up for it.

“I don't know... is he a bit fed up being stuck on the left wing? Does he want to play a bit more central? Who knows.

“Crystal Palace have looked the better side in this second half. Bruno Fernandes has had very little impact in this game. Marcus Rashford, exactly the same.

“It's been disappointing from United. There just hasn't been enough quality.”
