Marcus Rashford and Conor Coady withdraw from England squad for Nations League double-header

Marcus Rashford and Conor Coady have withdrawn from the England squad for next week's Nations League matches against Belgium and Iceland.

Neither was involved in Thursday's 3-0 friendly win over Ireland at Wembley and they will miss the trip to Belgium on Sunday and the home match against Iceland on Tuesday.

Wolves centre-half Coady has been forced to self-isolate having discovered he had inadvertently come into contact with somebody prior to camp who has tested positive for Covid-19 via the NHS's test and trace system.

The defender returned two negative tests as part of the FA and Uefa's protocol but he has no option but to self-isolate in line with government guidelines.

Manchester United striker Rashford's arrival into the camp had initially been delayed to allow for further assessment on a shoulder injury sustained last weekend in Manchester United's win over Everton but the forward has now returned to his club.
