Marcus Rashford agency says Manchester United forward hasn't played without an injury for two years

Marcus Rashford's agency has claimed the Manchester United forward hasn't been fully fit since 2019.

The 23-year-old was forced to pull out of the England squad over the international break after struggling with a foot problem.

Rashford accepted the call-up despite carrying a knock, which was originally sustained during the win away to Manchester City in early March.

Rashford has also been troubled by a persistent shoulder problem and it has been suggested that he may need surgery after the European Championship in order to fix the problem.

Rashford's agency, D N May Sports Management, quote tweeted a video of other players naming Rashford as the toughest opponent of their careers.

The agency wrote: "When Marcus is clear of his niggles we expect to hear more players speak up."

They were then asked when the last time that was in the comments, to which they replied: "2 years ago."

Last month Rashford was asked about the chances of him needing shoulder surgery and said: "To be honest I just focus on the next game at hand and that’s just the way I deal with it, what’s needed after we will deal with that after.

"My main focus is just being available for the games. I know my body and I know what I can do physically and that’s it. I take one game at a time it’s the life of a footballer, we can rest when we retire and for now, I’m happy playing as many games as I can.

"I recover from games quite well and injuries well, I have no doubts or fears."
