Marcus Peters highlights with the Ravens and Rams

The Baltimore Ravens made a rare midseason trade to bolster their secondary last season, adding cornerback Marcus Peters from the Los Angeles Rams. Even at the time, the deal seemed to be a massive steal for Baltimore, only sending a fifth-round pick and backup linebacker Kenny Young. But immediately, Peters proved even that value to be an understatement.

In his first game with the Ravens, Peters intercepted a pass from Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and took it to the house. He would add another pick-six for Baltimore in Week 10 against Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Ryan Finley — his third pick-six of the season and his second for the Ravens.

Though Baltimore is Peters’ third team in his five-year career, being traded both times, the Ravens made sure he’ll stick around a little longer. Before the season even ended, general manager Eric DeCosta rewarded Peters’ play, signing him to a three-year extension.

Though his 2019 highlight reel includes six games with the Rams, Peters had a ton of plays that proved why he deserved to be an All-Pro last season.
