Marcus Cannon, Matt LaCosse limited during Patriots practice

The New England Patriots had three limited players on Thursday during their practice in preparation for the Miami Dolphins in Week 2. Tackle Marcus Cannon (shoulder), tight end Matt LaCosse (ankle) and running back Brandon Bolden (hamstring) were listed as limited on the team’s injury report. Their statuses were the same on Wednesday, the team’s first practice of Week 2.

Cannon seemed to suffer the shoulder injury during the Patriots’ Week 1 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was writhing in pain on the field after the whistle blew the play dead. His injury is not considered serious, per multiple reports. Still, the Patriots signed tackle Marshall Newhouse, a potential insurance option for Cannon.

LaCosse was dealing with the injury in Week 1, but was on the game day roster. Bolden appeared on the injury report after playing in Week — it’s unclear when he suffered the injury.
