Chelsea wing-back Marcos Alonso has given his Spanish compatriot and new teammate Saul Niguez a glowing verdict ahead of a potential Blues debut against Aston Villa.
Saul, 26, has been settling into his surroundings at Cobham during the international break and will be hoping to make his debut against Dean Smith's side on Saturday.
The Atletico Madrid loanee has already made two good friends within the Blues squad and it isn't a surprise to understand that the Spanish duo of Marcos Alonso and Kepa Arrizabalaga have helped Saul out, on and off the pitch.
Clips have already been doing the rounds of the three players linking up well in training, with Blues fans looking forward to potentially seeing Alonso and Saul in action together as soon as possible.
Aside from training clips showing the midfielder enjoying his start to life in west London, his Spanish compatriot Alonso - who remained at Cobham over the international period - has been speaking about what fans can expect from the new signing.
He told the Chelsea FC official website: "I know Saul from the national team, and also we shared a manager when we were in the Real Madrid academy.
"He's a great player. His conditions are going to be good for the Premier League. He is strong physically, he is very good in the air."
The club's Premier League player of the month contender then added: "He is ready to kick off and hopefully we can take advantage of his qualities and he will be of great help to the team, because it's going to be a long year, with a lot of competitions."
Alonso then joked that if Saul was to learn English from Kepa then he would struggle.
He added: "I will do my best! If he learns from Kepa he is in a bad position!"
Alonso's verdict of the versatile midfielder aligns well with what Spanish football expert Alvaro Montero had to say on Saul's credentials and what he could add to the Premier League.
He said on Sky Sports: "He's a typical number 10, number 8, he can play in the very last part of the area (up the pitch).
"He has a fabulous left foot and he's scored many goals. With his dribbling, you can see the Atletico Madrid goal in the UEFA Champions League against Bayern Munich four years ago.
"And he's a player that is very dangerous, and I guess the Premier League could be very good for him. He's a [Thomas] Tuchel type of player for Chelsea and the way he likes to play football."
