Marco Silva set to take charge of Everton at Leicester

Marco Silva WILL be in charge for this weekend’s game with Leicester City.

The ECHO understands the under-fire boss is to still be in the dugout at the King Power Stadium.

Silva has come under mounting pressure in the wake of Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at home to Norwich City with fans venting their anger at the Portuguese boss.

and has taken training as normal as the Blues begin preparations for Sunday’s game with high-flying Leicester.

Everton are then in action against Liverpool at Anfield as a brutal run of fixtures throughout December kicks in.

Silva will begin the month in charge of the Blues but his situation still appears bleak as the club’s hierarchy discuss his future.

Silva spoke of his desire to repair his fractured relationship with Everton fans following the defeat at the weekend.

"I believe, I believe I can. I believe in the work, I believe in our players and I believe in our fans as well” he said.

“It is a normal reaction from the fans, I understand what you are asking me as well - unfortunately it is not something new in Everton football club, of course.

“But I am here to do my best every single day, to get the right result, and of course if get the right results then you can repair things (with the fans). This is the main thing about football - it is everything about results, and when we don’t achieve, normally they look for the person at the top and that is the manager.”
