Marco Silva sends major warning to Unai Emery and Arsenal ahead of vital Everton clash

Arsenal have the chance to move back into third in the Premier League table on Sunday when they travel to Everton.

Having jumped ahead of rivals Spurs on Monday evening after their 2-0 win over Newcastle United, the Gunners dropped down a place 48 hours later with Spurs beating Crystal Palace.

Arsenal and Chelsea are the only teams battling it out for a place in the top four in action this weekend due to the FA Cup semi-finals taking place, with Spurs and Manchester United set to play their games in hand later in April.

A trip to Merseyside certainly won't be easy for Unai Emery's team and Marco Silva has warned his fellow manager that his team will be in for a very tough game in L4.

"We deserved to win that game," Silva told Everton's official website regarding their last home win over Chelsea. "Our obligation as a club and for me as a manager is to do everything we can to win.

"On Sunday, we are playing another top team. I know how the atmosphere will be in our stadium again and how the fans can be a key for us.

"Together, our fans and players, can help us to get a good result.

"We will play with the same mentality we had in second half against Chelsea and in the last match against West Ham.

"We have to play with ambition and desire and believe in ourselves.

"We respect them, they have high-quality players, but the game will be tough for them. I don’t have doubts about that."

The atmosphere in Everton's past two home games against Liverpool and Chelsea has seen the Toffees record four points from a possible six against the top-six teams.

Silva wants the fans to once again do their bit as his team look to make it three wins on the bounce.

"We want to create that connection with the fans more and more," he added .

"I am confident in our team’s quality and with our fans at Goodison - with that special atmosphere we have seen in the past two matches in our stadium - I think we are able to compete with Arsenal, challenge them and do everything to achieve the three points.

"It [supporting the team] is something our fans have done throughout the season at Goodison and very strong in the last two home games.

"We expect they will repeat this again and help make it a tough afternoon for our opponents."
