Marco Silva is hopeful Andre Gomes will return to training with Everton next week.
Gomes sustained a rib injury against Wolves at the start of September and has since missed games with Bournemouth, Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday.
Silva confirmed the summer signing - who spent the previous campaign at Goodison Park - will not feature against Manchester City this weekend at his press conference this afternoon.
"Andre is still not working full with his teammates, let's hope in the next few days we have some more news about him," the manager explained.
Everton travel to Burnley after their meeting with the champions and Silva is enthusiastic about Gomes' chances when they return from national team duty to face West Ham next month.

"It is possible because you have international break after next weekend. Like I said before he is doing some first steps now to integrate with the full session with the team.
"He hasn't done it yet but possible beginning of the next week he will start and let's see after how he will react. If not for the next match for sure after the break he will be ready."
