Marco Silva insisted that Manchester United “never had a chance” at Goodison...and that is a massive boost to Everton ’s European hopes.

And Silva said that quality is a sign of brilliant things to come from the Blues. “We were the best team on the pitch since the first minute. We never give them the chance to feel comfortable.
“Good goals also, quality, solid without the ball and we keep pressing them high. No doubt we deserved everything from this game.”

And asked if that shows Everton can be a force next season, he replied: “It is, but not to look to next season. You have to keep looking to this season.
“Our goal since the first day (Europe) we didn’t change nothing. We have to keep fighting to prove our quality. It is important to give this feeling to our fans.”
Everton went 26 matches without winning a game against a top six side...and incredibly have now won their last three against such opponents.

And Silva said it is massive, because it shows his team can live with the best: “Before Chelsea we didn’t win one game in 26 against these kinds of teams. Now we won three in a row it is important for us.
“I want our players to enjoy the moment, our fans also. It is important for us to keep this run, keep playing well and finish the season in a good spot. We have many things to keep fighting.”
