Marco Silva handed injury boost ahead of Everton's trip to Leicester City

Morgan Schneiderlin has been passed fit to face Leicester City today to help ease Everton’s midfield crisis. 

Manager Marco Silva was facing up to the prospect of having Tom Davies as his only senior central midfielder available for the game at the King Power Stadium. 

Jean-Philippe Gbmain is out until at least January while Andre Gomes is expected to miss most of the season with a broken ankle.

Fabian Delph has been dogged by niggling injuries since he arrived from Manchester City in the summer and is set to miss the game with Leicester because of a hamstring issue.

Schneiderlin was rated as a doubtful by Silva on Friday after the £20m man took a kick on the foot. 

But the ECHO understands that Schneiderlin has passed a fitness test and is expected to be named in the squad for this afternoon’s game.
