Marco Silva handed boost as Everton manager delivers injury latest on Lucas Digne, Fabian Delph and Leighton Baines

Everton boss Marco Silva has confirmed Lucas Digne is fit and available for his side's trip to face Aston Villa on Friday.

There were initially some doubts over the availability of the defender after he was withdrawn in the second half against Watford last weekend.

However, the French international trained with the rest of the squad this week and the manager has confirmed he will be up for selection as the Blues travel to the Midlands on Friday evening.

Leighton Baines, who hasn't featured for Everton yet this season, is also available after recovering from a thigh issue.

However Fabian Delph is still unavailable as he works his way back to full fitness after a groin injury suffered against Werder Bremen at the beginning of the month.

Silva told his pre-match press conference : "He [Digne] will be available. Leighton will be also, it's just Fabian until now.

"He's already started with the team, not a full session, but he has started with the team. It's possible next week he will do a full session with the team and there's a possibility he will play during the two matches next week."
