Marco Silva explains Everton 'good headache' as Fabian Delph and Morgan Schneiderlin return

Marco Silva has commented on the multiple selection headaches he is set to face when Everton take on Brighton this weekend.

The manager made five changes to his starting line-up last weekend after a run of four straight defeats in the Premier League - and those introduced to the 11 responded excellently.

But now, with Fabian Delph and Morgan Schneiderlin recovering from injury alongside Seamus Coleman's return from suspension, the boss has numerous decisions to make across the pitch this weekend.

And Silva is delighted to have this kind of problem heading into a tough match.

The manager told his pre-Brighton press conference: "It's a good headache, it's what I want!

"When we achieve a good result, players get their chance and perform well and they help the team, it's a very good thing for me to have as a coach.

"That means the players on the bench have the quality and are working hard to play - and the players that are playing have had a good performance like the situation was against West Ham.

"It's a very good headache for me, it's what I like and it's up to them to keep working.

"You have your plan for each match. Last time we decided in one way and the team performed really well.

"It was a good week [in training] again, there was good competition between the players and it's up to me to decide on Saturday what will be the best 11."

Many have called for the boss to keep the same starting 11 this weekend that was successful and played so well against West Ham last time out.

However, with still time to prepare for Saturday's trip to Brighton, Silva admitted he hasn't made his mind up on everything as of yet.

"Normally I have one plan, and we are working on that plan," the manager added.

"But with one more session to do tomorrow, 48 hours until we play the game, of course I haven't decided everything.

"But of course I have a plan and the things are clear in my mind for what we should do against a tough opponent."
