Marco Silva details where Everton went wrong in Norwich City defeat and makes confidence claim

Marco Silva has addressed what he believes is going wrong at Everton right now.

The Blues lost 2-0 to Norwich City at Goodison Park on Saturday while putting on an incredibly disappointing display.

Boos rang out around the stadium following the match after Everton managed to muster very little response to either of the Canaries' goals.

He said: "This is not a good feeling and it is very disappointing. A deep frustration.

"We did not play well enough to win the game and this is the main thing I want to tell you.

"We didn't have enough intensity, mobility or pace to disorganise them.

"It is up to us to create and with intensity and mobility but we didn't do that at all in the first half."

Shortly after half-time Morgan Schneiderlin was replaced by Alex Iwobi, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin was brought on for Theo Walcott with 25 minutes to go while Seamus Coleman switched with Djibril Sidibe at the same time.

"Even without the ball we were not aggressive like normal," Silva added.

"We spoke at half-time and started quicker in the second-half but did not create a big big chance.

"When we make a mistake and they scored the first goal everything became more difficult for us.

"We changed Morgan [Schneiderlin] with Alex [Iwobi]. He came in and did what we expect from him, we created some chances to equalise the game but then we didn't take the right decisions in many moments and it was not a good enough performance from us to win the game.

"When Norwich scored the second goal, for us this season - it happened against Sheffield United - when something goes wrong for us we start to lose focus and confidence to turn things around.

"More or less the same thing happened and you cannot play football if you are not calm enough, you don't make the right decisions."

Everton sit in 15th in the Premier League table after losing seven of their first 13 games.
