Marco Silva addresses Richarlison to Liverpool transfer rumours and gives update on Theo Walcott's future

Marco Silva has laughed off any reports linking Everton star Richarlison with a potential move to Liverpool.

The forward only made a big money move to the Blues in the summer of 2018 from Watford, following his former manager Marco Silva to Goodison Park.

And the Brazilian's impressive form of 13 goals in all competitions has not only earned him regular call-ups to his country's national squad, but also meant the youngster has been linked with a shock move to Liverpool.

However, the 21-year-old Richarlison sends message to Everton fans after shock Liverpool transfer rumours himself to dismiss any such reports, reiterating that he is happy at Everton .

And Silva, speaking in his pre-Arsenal press conference, hammered that point home further.

When asked about the rumours, the Everton boss said: "You have to smile, nothing more!

"This morning I was at our session doing my job. For us this speculation is not important to talk about.

" Richarlison is our player, all of us are happy with him and he is very happy here. He has many, many things to keep proving at our club.

"I am 100% sure he will do that in the next few seasons.

"He's a really important player for us.

"I was 100% sure he could help us and fit well in our club, and because of that I asked our club to do everything we could to sign him.

"Of course I'm happy, he is happy. My job is to keep working with him, he's 21 years old.

"I don't have doubts he can keep improving."

The manager also moved to dismiss any suggestion that Theo Walcott wasn't part of his future plans.

Some reports had suggested the winger could be one of the players the Blues look to sell this summer, but Silva rejected those rumours.

The vital spine that proves Everton's experienced stars must compliment Marcel Brands' summer transfer policy

He added: "Why not include Theo [in our plans]?

"He is our player, not just with one or two years on his contract but with more years.

"He's fighting to help us, fighting to take his place in the starting 11 again and he is part of our plans like all the other players.

"Of course me and Marcel are planning everything, like is normal."
