Confident Marco Negri believes a win for Rangers over Celtic will make it "impossible" for the Hoops' earn 10 In A Row.
The Light Blues lead their Glasgow rivals by 19 points, albeit having played three games more, ahead of Saturday’s clash at Ibrox.
Negri - who once scored 33 goals for Rangers before the turn of the year - thinks Steven Gerrard and his side can wrap up the title if they stretch their lead at the top of the table.
The Italian hitman continues to keep tabs on Rangers' performances and he insists a win in the New Year Old Firm derby will seal the title.
Negri told Inside Futbol : "They are playing an excellent season and can win the title again. Gerrard is a good coach, he trains an excellent team.
"They have many players with different skills. They are a solid team, they concede few goals.
“In a few days there will be the Old Firm derby at Ibrox [and] if Rangers were to defeat Celtic, then it would be almost impossible to lose the title.”
